Description:
Recently many Chinese design schools and universities have a lot of graduates. Due to their unique nature of their profession and the employment market in China in the graduats have problems in finding suitable jobs. Especially through China’s unique modernist design, illustration, with the European concept of visual screening technology, will allow all participants to develop their own imagination, to make their own work. China’s modern culutre, as well as the impact of the ancient culture, combined with a touch of european culture offers a combination of both worlds and the possibility of mashups. The students will be able to learn new technologies, new ways of thinking, finding their individual way in the future.
Objective:
An especially for young Chinese community designed graphic and VJ workshop concept, It is combined with Chinese graphic design and European VJ technique and software, to learn the basic VJing methods. Open your mind and make your own work in Chinese-European fusion style. VJing-everyone can enjoy.

Output:
After the course each student will have an individual visual persp ective, based on the topic set by the teacher, combined with their own conecpts and ideas. The students of the course will learn methods to produce material used for Vjing. The students will furthermore get an overview about the European VJ culture and will become an overview about VJ Software. Each participant will have the chance to perform at the exhibition.

4youreye: Eva Bischof-Herlbauer
4youreye was established in the early 1990s (by Gerald Herlbauer) and is based on the Rave, Ambient and Club culture of that decade. 4youreye have, since their creation over 10 years ago, not only made a name for them selves in their own country but can also look back on many successful international performances. The 2 man Crew stand for fast hard cuts and unconventional screen sequences taking images that we believe to know from old viewing habits, out of their original context to then generate them into a completely new context.
They work principally live, so in real time produced FX with the intention to combine music and visuals into one form / entity. Music becomes visual and can be experienced in a totally different way.
Found, imagined and found again serve as fragmentary clichés which then with acquisitiveness and the strength of reinterpretation create a mind-boggling diversity. Stories are understood as a never-ending Babylonian Archive of pictures,media, sounds and symbols that explore the open spaces of the future.
Aesthetically, 4youreye relate their non linear and expansive conceptions towards the abstract Art films of the 1920s, the literary and political cut-up and collage technique of the experimental films from the 1950s / 60s, the complete concept of the happening art and rock concerts of the 1970s and the live concept of the video scratchers of the 1980s.
In the beginning of 2005 the English Magazine “DJ-Mag” has voted 4youreye one of the top 20 VJs worldwide, being placed number 18.
At the end of 2005 “DJ-Mag” has again voted 4youreye into the Top 20 VJs ranking – 2006 4youreye is placed number 5 again in 2008.
